Let it Snow!
The first snow here in Caldwell ... the kids got ready to play in a flash... here is Sha Sha all bundled up and ready to play in the snow! This is the first year she has been excited about the snow.
She wasn't quite sure she wanted to go outside after she got ready......
So Kelanie showed her that Snow was a wonderful thing .... to stick in your mouth hahahaha So she decided she could drop the cup and head outside. It was great fun to watch them, they went down the slide and between the snow and the snowpants they could get up quite the speed. They also had great fun on the trampoline, with the snow packed on the bottom of their boots, it was quite a bit like ice skating.
Kelanie getting ready to show me the snow, Vidal kept holding the door open so that they could throw snow balls at me..... :) it was coooolllldddd but very fun!

Oh Christmas Tree
We decided to get the Christmas tree..... we wanted to go out into mother nature but we got as far as K-mart and decided it was too cold and look there was a HUGE blow up snowman so nicely inviting us to come buy a Christmas tree from him.... so we did :) The kids enjoyed the candy canes and after we bid a due to the big snowman (who was charging a lot for a little tree the slow in the economy was not nice to Mr frosty the snowman :) we found a more reasonable priced Santa Clause. Here is the tree..... a top our sleigh.

Time to get the Turkey in and Cookin'
The Turkey is a cookin'.... I stuffed the turkey to the brim with stuffing... YUM! Vidal is so sweet he came home last night with a roasting bag, he heard at work that it cuts down on the cooking time. I told him I would have to get up at 7am at the very latest to start cooking the turkey and he knew I Had been cooking all day Wednesday and wanted me to be able to sleep in on Thanksgiving .... what a sweetheart! Another thing I am thankful for my wonderful husband.
Prepping for the big T day!
The day before Thanksgiving I decided to get a head start on some of the cooking to enjoy the day a little more. So here are a few of the masterpieces hahaha Lemon Meringue My Favorite.
3 Lovely Cherry pies for my dearest sister Kayce, they are her favorite.....
And of course thanksgiving is not complete without a pumpkin pie. It is a skill to put it into the oven without spilling the filling.... but somehow I did it :) And think I only set the smoke alarm off once the whole day hahahaha. I also made a pecan pie my other favorite.... :) It was a full day of cooking. I made 2 kinds of rolls, readied the candied yams, made moms pink Jello salad, and Orange rolls. Whew now a good nights rest to wake up in the wee hours of the morning to put the turkey on. I am so Thankful to be able to cook such a feast!!

Defrosting in the frost......
So here we are a few days before Thanksgiving and I have volunteered to roast the Turkey for the big dinner. I must Admit that a 17.7 lb bird is a little ominous taking up a whole shelf in the refrigerator.... But I am going to smile at the thing and hope it is nice to me. :)
I am excited to see how it turns out. I hope it has enough time to defrost in this coooollld weather.
Stay tuned for the finished product :)
