Haloween faces

So what do you think, Pretty cool huh, we thought it would be good, I wore it in the car home from the store and got a lot of puzzled looks and I thought one lady was going to crash into me it was fun!

What the Devil?

Getting ready for work..... it took him a little longer than usual..... ooooohhhhh

Scary guy....
looks like he is almost done
Added the beard..... we had to cut off a little bit of an old wig and glue it to his chin
And off to work he goes.... I'll keep you posted to let you know if he won anything at the work contest.

The making of an Apple Tree

The making of Kelanie's Apple Tree Costume. I started to glue green fabric scraps to an old hat
The finished hat....

Hot glue, sticks, and green fabric scraps for leaves.... here we go

So I started out by making a bag skirt with a drawstring for the trunk, thank goodness for thrift stores and the dollar store who made this costume possible! :)
The start of the branches on the shirt...
Almost done, just need to add the apples..... and some more leaves. The finished shirt, just wait for new posts to see her in the finished costume. :)

In Search of a Costume

Scary Shawnya. I was surprised that she was having so much fun in this family outing because she usually freaks out when she sees the scary masks, she decided to conquer her fears and try one on, and she couldn't stop laughing when she saw the photo of herself!
A trip in search of Halloween costumes.... Vidal has a costume contest at work so we decided we would make a family outing of it and see what we could find. This one was a little too scary since one of the rules for the contest is that it can't be too scary for small children. NEXT!
What a cute old man! hahaha
Gross I didn't like this one! What do you think?
Hahaha
EEEEWWWW
Kelanie sneaking in a scary face, oooooohhhhhh
Mrs Hilary Clinton-Cameron-Sandi :O

Looks kinda silly huh! Not quite what he wanted though so.... moving on.

Halloween Decorations!

I can't believe that it is Halloween already again! Now that we have carved pumpkins it seems more of a reality! So we decided to decorate the house to make it a little more spooky....

Bats hanging in the windows, we splurged a $1 on black poster board.
Tombstones, a must have for Halloween, good ol' cardboard and spray paint, you can't go wrong right :)
Some spooky ghosts (squash from the garden and spray paint, I love spray paint :)
OOOOOhhhhhhhhh OOOOooohhhhhhh OOooooohhhhh
To top it of a little fake blood :) and a spooky message, HELP ME! Haha Vidal's idea Kelanie liked getting her hands all dirty and again Shawnya refused to get her hands dirty. Let me know what you think of our home made decor.

Quite the Characters!!!

It is great being a mom! Especially when you have two crazy clowns for daughters! They won these at the circus we went to at church last night and they wanted to rock them this morning bright and early!
Dozer was still sleeping and he didn't know what to think of these crazy Kooks waking him up! Haha fun times!

Pumpkin Time!!!

Vidal came home from work with pumpkins YAY! I think he was more excited to get started on them than the girls were! :)
Kelanie was a pro! Shawnya let Kelanie carve hers because she didn't want to get dirty, she thought the mushy insides of the pumpkin were gross! Kelanie didn't mind!!
Here we go getting our hands dirty!
We had to use the cork screw on Vidal's pumpkin because it had such a thick rind! But after some hard work he finally got it, and he was happy to have that out of the way.
Concentrating on getting the face just right! She did a great job cutting out the Jack O Lanterns face!
Vidal made Sponge Bob! He is a favorite in our family!
Kelanie had to help him to place the face pieces because he was not doing it quite right! :P She got out a picture of Sponge Bob to make sure it was all in the right place!
Dracula oooooohhhhhh
I think she did a marvelous job for her first pumpkin!!! She was proud for sure!
Hahahaha good times with the pumpkins...... happy carving!

What a view!

Beautiful huh!
Taking in mother nature!
Nothing like sisters!

It was nice to get out into the fresh air one last time! I can feel the cool fresh air on my face when I look at this picture.
